The American Nicaraguan School is a private school located in Managua, Nicaragua. It is the only school in Nicaragua to be accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools [ [http://www.sacscasi.org/schools/Proceedings_Accredited_SACS_CASI_XL.html Online Reporting ] ] and the Association of American Schools in South America [ [http://www.aassa.com/htm/schools.htm Member Schools ] ] .
History
The American Nicaraguan School was founded in 1944, it is situated on a 43 acre campus in Managua. The school offers education for students in grade 1-12, it also offers a 3 year nursery program.

The American Nicaragua school has 1,021 students from 39 different nationalities.

*High School- 397
Each year between 80 and 100 students are awarded the U.S. high school diploma. A majority of these will also be awarded the Nicaraguan bachillerato diploma.
