Golden Years (TV series)

Golden Years (TV series)

"Golden Years" is a Stephen King miniseries that aired in seven parts on CBS in 1991. It is about an old man named Harlan Williams who works as a janitor at a lab. When an experiment goes wrong and there is an explosion, he finds that the aging process is being reversed and he is getting younger. He ends up on the run from "The Shop", the same agency that hunted Charlene "Charlie" McGee in "Firestarter".

The theme song of the show is "Golden Years" by David Bowie. Stephen King has a cameo as a bus driver.

The original televised series never finished, as the eighth and final episode did not air. The show was left on a cliffhanger, which was not fully resolved when it came out on video. Instead, the producers changed what had happened in the last minutes of the seventh episode and made that the final installment.
