Jadranski naftovod (JANAF) is a crude oil transportation company in
Croatia . It operates the JANAF oil transport system, which consists of theOmišalj Terminal, the 759 km long inland pipeline system (Omišalj-Sisak ; Sisak-Virje -Gola; Virje-Lendava ; Sisak-Slavonski Brod and Slavonski Brod-Sotin pipelines), and Omišalj-Urinj submarine pipeline.The main shareholders of the company are:
* Croatian Bureau of Pension Insurance 50.541%
*Croatian Government 21.726%
*INA - Industrija nafte 16%
* State Agency for Deposite Insurance and Bank Rehabilitation (DAB) 5.84%
* other shareholders 5.893%Druzhba-Adria Project
The project suggested the connection of Jadranski naftovod with the Russian (and the world's biggest) pipeline (
Druzhba pipeline ), which is operated byTransneft company. The pipeline connecting these two would go through Hungary and Croatia to Sisak, where it would be connected to Jadranski naftovod. By this Russia would have direct connection to the Omišalj harbour. Due to objections for environmental reasons it was not yet realized.External links
