Louisiana Lottery (modern)

The current Louisiana Lottery Corporation is run by the state of Louisiana. It is a member of the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL). Its games include Powerball, Easy 5, and numerous scratch tickets. Not surprisingly, the Louisiana Lottery was affected by Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita in 2005.

The current "Easy 5" has a 37-number field, versus the original game (5/26).

The games of Louisiana include:

* Easy 5 (5/37)
* Louisiana Lotto (6/40)
* Pick 3
* Pick 4
* Powerball
* Raffle (last drawn April 15, 2008)
* Scratch offs (price range:$1-$10)

Unlike most US lotteries, Louisiana requires players to be at least 21. The minimum age was 18 until 1998, when the state decided to raise it to 21 to coincide with the minimum gambling age at casinos.Despite the high minimum age to play, a 14-year-old can legally sell Louisiana Lottery tickets.
