Sergio Germán Romero (born February 22 1987 in Bernardo de Irigoyen, Misiones) is an Argentine football player who currently plays for AZ Alkmaar in the Netherlands.

Romero represented Argentina at the 2007 South American Youth Championship in Paraguay and at the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Canada, which Argentina went on to win, and replaced injuried Oscar Ustari at the 2008 Summer Olympics football tournament.
