Station history

WCCP-FM signed on April 8, 1993 as an Oldies station under the name "Foothills 104.9", but switched to all-Sports by the end of the decade. Tommy Powell and Jeff Bright were mainly responsible for getting WCCP-FM 104.9 on the air in 1993 as an Oldies station. Since 2003, WCCP-FM has been the flagship radio station for Clemson University Sports. It is owned and operated by Golden Corners Broadcasting Company.
