Louie McCroskey is a former college basketball player for the Syracuse Orange and current player for Marist College from Bronx, New York. He played 96 games spanning from 2003-06, which included 21 starts. Following his junior season, he transferred to Marist College. He averaged 4.4 points in 16.1 minutes per game and was part of back-to-back Big East Tournament championship teams.

College career

As a freshman, McCroskey missed the first three games of the season because of academic issues. Still, he appeared in the remaining 28 games and scored 10 points in Syracuse's Sweet 16 loss to Alabama in the NCAA Tournament. McCroskey was used as both a starter and a reserve in his sophomore year. McCroskey's best performance came against Pittsburgh, when the guard scored 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds. In his junior year, McCroskey started five games, but following a much publicized shouting match with SU Coach Jim Boeheim, McCroskey briefly left the team. Per NCAA regulations, McCroskey sat out the 2006-07 season to fulfill the NCAA's mandatory year in residency after transferring.

In his red-shirt senior season, McCroskey was named to the Preseason Second Team All-MAAC. However, he missed the a little over a month after he fractured his foot on Jan. 17, 2008.
