Wafaa (party)

Wafaa (party)

The Wafaa is an illegal political party in Algeria.

It is also a common female name in the Arab world. Wafaa in the Arabic language is an adjective meaning "Faithfulness" or "Loyalty". It is spelled with a double a at the end to compensate for the letter "hamza" at the end of the name. Phonetically it is pronounced with a cut. Think of it as an "accent" in French or a silent "T" in English.
