Los Angeles Times ". OnApril 26 ,2007 Penner announced in his column that he is atranssexual and will be known as Christine Daniels after returning from vacation.She joins a growing number of high-profile people who have come out as
transgender .Penner is married to a fellow "Los Angeles Times" sportswriter
