Little John was an alternative rock band from Boston, Massachusetts in the 1990's. They recorded an album with Mike Denneen that was picked up by EMI's Brian Koppelman.

Band history

Little John formed in Boston in 1992 with Seth Freeman (guitar / vox), John Bosco (bass), and Brendan Taylor (drums). Stefano Capobianco took John's place in 1994 on bass. Derailer, produced by Mike Denneen, was picked up and re-released by EMI in 1996. After the demise of EMI, the band recorded We'll Always Have Ohio and released it on their own label, Crane Mountain Records, distributed by BEG Entertainment. When Seth moved to San Francisco in 1998, he reformed the band with new members, Chris Greacen (bass), and Steve Bell (drums). They recorded Too Much Fun in Steve's studio. After Seth moved to Los Angeles, they continued to play shows with that lineup. Finally, new Los Angeles based musicians Mike Wagner (bass) and Roger King (drums) were brought on board and they went by the name Toves for a while.
