John Morris (footballer)

John Morris (born in Dublin) was an Irish soccer player who played for Bohemians in the League of Ireland.

Morris first played for UCD and captained them to the FAI Intermediate Cup in 1945 before joining Bohemians. As a right-half, he was ever present in the League campaign of 1947/48 and featured regularly as well during the following season. He only scored one goal for Bohs during his time at Dalymount Park - this came against Cliftonville in an Inter City Cup tie in April 1948.

He was a brother of Frank and Paul who also played for Bohemians.

John died on January 9 2001.
