- RPG-26
The RPG-26 "Aglen" is a disposable anti-tank rocket launcher developed by the
Soviet Union . It fires a single-stagerocket with jack-knife fins, which unfold after launch. The rocket carries a 72.5 millimeter diameter high explosive anti-tank singleshaped charge warhead capable of penetrating 440 millimeters of armour, one meter ofreinforced concrete or one and a half meters ofbrickwork . It has a maximum effective range of around 250 meters. It appears to be a development of the
RPG-22 , which itself is based on theRPG-18 , which many sources state is an almost direct copy of the U.S.M72 LAW . It has been further developed as theRPG-27 .A variant of the RPG-26 called the RShG-2 is armed with a
thermobaric warhead. The RShG-2 is heavier than the RPG-26 at 3.5 kilograms, and has a reduced direct fire range of 115 meters.pecifications
