Scott Heigelmann

Scott Heigelmann founded, and presides over Boston based Heavy Advertising & PR. Since starting the firm in January 2006, Mr. Heigelmann has overseen the company's growth, and its expansion to the NYC and Miami markets.

Advertising & PR Work

Heigelmann's reputation is aggressive and results-based, and has close working relationships with members of the media, core influencer groups, high-powered executives and celebrities.

Prior to starting his own company, Heigelmann served as Vice President/Creative Director for Oracle's Media Products Group (MPG). There, he was responsible for client growth and successful client programs. Among the campaigns he worked on were for Chase Bank, Nationwide, Boeing, Metlife, and ExxonMobil.

On occasion, Heigelmann is quoted in the media on advertising/pr trends and methods concerning news and current events.

Clients

Heigelmann has represented high-powered executives and celebrities including Christina Aguilera, the Gotti Family, the Kraft Family and the New England Patriots. The firm's client list includes brands such as Ducati Motorcycles, Ferrari, New York Times, Fannie Mae, Kraft Group, Peroni Beer, Def Jam Recordings, Century 21, Moet & Chandon, Skadden Arps, and a diverse array of public and private interests.

Controversy

Heigelmann has been mentioned on advertising and PR industry blogs for what some had termed, "self-promotional activity". Heigelmann has said that he sees his biggest responsibilities are to the brands and executives he represents, not to other advertising/pr firms and personalities. In August of 2006 Heigelmann's firm garnered media attention for it's provocative work for the "Snakes on a Plane" motion picture campaign.
