2001 attack on Jammu and Kashmir legislative assembly

On October 1, 2001 the militants carried out an attack on the Jammu and Kashmir State Legislative Assembly complex in Srinagar using a car bomb and four suicide bombers, fidayeen. 38 people, including the four fidayeen were killed in this attack. The group Jaish-e-Mohammed is alleged to be involved .
