Cornish & Devon Post

Cornish & Devon Post

The Cornish & Devon Post is a weekly newspaper, published in Launceston, Cornwall, England, which was launched in 1856. It is one of only two newspapers in the UK to carry advertisements rather than news on the front page. (St. Ives Times & Echo is the other one.) At some later date it absorbed the Launceston Weekly News.[citation needed]

There are four titles within the Cornish & Devon Post series, which cover the main towns of Launceston, Bude, Holsworthy and Camelford; the area covered is roughly northwest Devon and a larger area in northeast Cornwall.

The company also publishes a weekly freesheet, the Launceston & Bude Journal Gazette, three monthly freesheets, the Camelford Journal Gazette, North Cornwall Post & Diary and Cornish & Devon Farming Diary, a yearly eating and entertainment guide, Country Cuisine, and town guides for Launceston & Bude, published every two years.

The current general manager is Tony Wilkins and the editor is Keith Whitford.

It is owned by the Tindle Newspaper Group.
