WESC is a Country music station licensed to Greenville, South Carolina and serves the Upstate region, including Greenville and Spartanburg. The Clear Channel Communications outlet is licensed to the FCC to broadcast at 92.5 MHz with an ERP of 95 kW. The station goes by the name 92.5 WESC and its current slogan is "Today's Best Country And Your All-Time Favorites."

The station airs a more Classic Country-leaning country format, unlike sister station WSSL-FM.

Station history

WESC-FM signed on in March 1948 as the FM sister to WESC-AM 660. For most of its existence, WESC-FM simulcasted much of their AM's programming, which consisted of Country music.

In 2000, the simulcast was split apart with WESC-FM retaining its Country format, while WESC-AM was leased to Radio Training Network as the station adopting a Christian talk format in conjunction with Contemporary Christian WLFJ-FM.

In 2001, WESC-FM adjusted it format to Classic-leaning Country in a move to separate itself from Hot Country sister WSSL-FM. WESC-FM continues to be one of the highest rated radio stations in the market.
