Daewoo SHI KTX-1 is a South Korean turboprop-powered basic trainer aircraft

Design and development

The prototype, designated KTX-1, first flew in December 1991.

The production version is designated KT-1.

The aircraft is powered by the Pratt & Whitney Canada PT-6 turboprop engine. Two tandem cockpits are provided for the student and the instructor.

History

The prototype aircraft first flew in December 1991. The KT-1 entered full scale production in 1997.
