Floxed

Floxed

Floxed is the a word used to describe the sandwiching of a DNA sequence between two " lox P" sites. It is a contraction of the phrase "flanked by LoxP". This is used for Cre-Lox recombination for example, when investigating the role of Beta-catenin in hair follicles and epidermal stem cell. (Huelsken J 2001) [cite journal
