Montevideo (Rotterdam)

Montevideo is a multipurpose skyscraper located by the river Nieuwe Maas in Rotterdam, in the Netherlands. It is also designed to be a giant wind vane.

The Montevideo skyscraper was opened 19 December 2005. The building was designed by the Mecanoo architecture firm. It has 192 apartments, convert|6050|m²|sqft|0|abbr=on|lk=on of office space, and convert|1933|m²|sqft|0|abbr=on of retail space.

In addition it finished in third place in the 2005 Emporis Skyscraper Award selection.
