Aristeidis Moschos (Greek: Αριστείδης Μόσχος,
1930 -November 8 ,2001 ) was a Greek organ player and a student.Biography
Moschos was born in
Agrinio in the Aitoloakarnania prefecture. He was fifth of the tenth child of his family, he was descende from the town ofPentalofos in Agrinio. In that town, his father which had a large property which he sold and moved to Agrinio. He opened acafé . In his first he played politicians, Smyrnians and Armenians, and the other had European orchestra. His father who was playingclarinet and played it with traditionally along with European music. His brother who playedviolin in his family's stores saw several greatest musicians of that time includingRita Abatzi ,Marika Politissa ,Eskenazi , etc. From a Romanian tour, Aristidis Moschos heard music and loved it.His first student was from Romania, He quickly learned and know how to play in his father's store. After the war, he left Agrinio to
Athens where he attended the Greek Lyceum. With that he did tours all over the world. He participated with many singers, musicians and actors. He made many radio and television broadcasts with modern and folk music. He sold fifteen records, of which three became gold and two became platimum. He worked with around 150 other records.In 1985, he run the Traditional Music People's School which functioned as a company. There he made tens of musical organs as well as
Byzantime music .He was honored by several municipalities and organizations as well as the
Greek parliament .He died on
November 8 ,2001 .References
