Jodi Lerner is a fictional character on the Showtime television network series "The L Word". She is played by the American actress Marlee Matlin. Jodi is a deaf sculptor who worked in the art department and who has a relationship with the Dean of the Arts School, Bette Porter, throughout seasons 4 and 5 of the show. The relationship reaches it's climax when Bette starts cheating on Jodi with Tina Kennard and Jodi realises Bette was merely using her the whole time. She publicly humiliates Bette in revenge, and is not seen again.

Jodi's easygoing manner and independence conflicts with Bette's driven, controlling tendencies and her need to protect people.
