Rob Canning

Rob Canning (born 1980) is the secondary anchor of Sports Tonight on Australia's Ten Network. He presents the show on Friday and Saturday and when Brad McEwan is away.

He has covered a number of major sport events for Ten after joing the show from WIN Television in Canberra. These have included the 2003 Rugby world cup, Super12/14 seasons, the national rugby league competition—including origin campaigns and grand finals, the San Francisco Red Bull air race, Bathurst 1000’s, Gold Coast Indy events and the 2006 Commonwealth Games.Canning is also anchor of Ten's Coverage of Summer Beach Volleyball.

Rob is an active sports person, having represented NSW and the Bathurst Goldminers in basketball. The former junior school captain of Barker College (1991) has competed in four marathons since 2004 and aims to run one marathon every year.
