Geodetic can have several meanings:
* In structures, the formation of a rigid structure by use of multiple spiral bands in opposite directions to form a tubular basket-like structure. This has been employed in battleships to create high masts for fire-control equipment and in the construction of some towers. See "Vickers Wellington" for an aircraft employing such a structure for its fuselage.
* The means of measuring on a spherical (or spheroidal) surface, see Geodesy and Geodetic system.
