Preston Brook contains a number of listed buildings. All the listed buildings are Grade II.
*Brook House
Cottage dating from the late 18th century. Whitened brick with a slate roof. Two storeys and four bays, Gothic style, with one bay added to the south. Casement windows with lozenge glazing and stepped labels to those at ground floor. Stone door case to a six-panel entrance door with upper panels fielded. There are sash windows with glazing bars at the rear.
*Former warehouse
Canal warehouse dating from about 1772 with alterations. Brick with slate roof built alongside the Bridgewater Canal. Three storeys. Seven widely spaced window bays on the east (land) side and four additional gabled loading bays on the west (canal) side. Windows segmental headed have fitted cast iron inserts to resemble small square glazing. A large slightly off centre three storey loading bay extends to the edge of the canal whereas the other three are flush with the walls and now fitted with large windows.
*Preston Brook Tunnel north entranceCanal tunnel linking the south end of the Bridgewater Canal with the Trent and Mersey Canal. Dated around 1777. Of red brick with stone dressing to the tunnel ends.
*Canal mile postCanal milepost dated 1819. Cast iron painted black and white. Circular post with moulded head and embossed letters on 2 convex tablets below.
*Canal air shaft (north)Blue brick circular air shaft 2 yards (1.8 m) in diameter and 2 yards high.
