Terry Fahey (born 20 January, 1954 [cite book|author=Gary Lester (editor)|title=The Sun Book of Rugby League - 1983|year=1983|publisher= "John Fairfax Marketing"|location=Sydney, New South Wales|isbn=0909558833|pages=page 16] ) is an Australian former professional rugby league player for the South Sydney Rabbitohs, Eastern Suburbs and Canberra Raiders clubs. He was a powerful, hard-running wing-threequarter.

Fahey was born in Wellington, New South Wales.

Club career

Nicknamed the "Redfern Express", Fahey played 90 first grade matches for the Rabbitohs in the years 1976-1980 scoring 46 tries and 28 goals for a total of 194 points. He joined Easts for two seasons in 1981. In 1982 he was the season's leading try scorer, with fifteen tries. Fahey signed with Canberra in 1983 but a recurring neck injury caused him to miss the entire 1985 season. He was playing again in 1986 and remained with the Raiders until the end of the 1987 season, when he retired.

Fahey was named on the wing in the NRL's "Team of the 1970s" when it was announced in 2005. [cite news|Format=fee required|publisher="AAP Sports News (Australia)"|title=1970s team boasts three Immortals |url=http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1P1-112296104.html |accessdate=2008-10-05|date=2005-08-18]

Representative career

Fahey played three tests for Australia between 1975 and 1981 (scoring three tries). He also played eight games for New South Wales, two being State of Origin matches in 1981 and 1982.
