Stewart (Beavis and Butt-head)

Stewart Stevenson (born ca. 1979) is a fictional character from the MTV animated series "Beavis and Butt-head". He was voiced by Adam Welsh.

Debut

Stewart debuted in the episode "Stewart's House" as he allowed Beavis and Butt-head to watch the Death Truck Pay Per View. By the end of the day, Beavis and Butt-head gave Stewart a flying wedgie and, to make matters worse, Stewart's dad told the boys that Stewart had violated the trust to stay home unsupervised.

Relationship

Stewart likes to think of himself as Beavis and Butt-head's friend, although the pair really do not like him and usually mock him. He does not seem to remember how badly they treat him between incidents, or does not care about their maltreatment if he does remember it. Stewart's worshipful attitude towards the contemtptuous duo mirrors how Beavis & Butt-head relate to someone who despises THEM, gang leader Todd. Frequently, when caught committing some sort of outrageous prank, Beavis and Butt-head blame (or frame) Stewart ("He threatened to hit us" or "Stewart got us the porn"), which is quite often believed, even though Stewart is far more passive and smaller than the pair. His catchphrase seems to be "You guys are going to be in "biiiiig" trouble!" He also appears to be younger, but this is contradicted by the fact that he attends the same high school (and Beavis and Butt-head are in the ninth grade).

Winger

Stewart is usually depicted wearing a Winger t-shirt (as opposed to the heavier Metallica and AC/DC shirts that Beavis and Butthead wore). This is an Ongoing gag that creator Mike Judge devised. It started when the singer Kip Winger was offended at B&B's commentary of one of his videos, describing it as "The worst crap I've ever seen". Kip Winger claimed he would file a law suit against Judge if he continued to insult his music videos. So Judge created Stewart as a quiet statement that only kids like Stewart like Winger.

Personality

Stewart apparently wets his bed, as revealed in "Crisis Line". Stewart is also apparently submissive because of Butt-head. As shown in the Christmas special, if Butt-head was not born, Stewart's self-esteem would never have been destroyed, and both Beavis and Stewart would have been nice, sane, and nerdy guys.
