Portland stone dressings built in 1754-6 by Benedictus Marwood Tucker, sheriff of Devon in 1763. Some remains of the older mansion can also be seen at Old Coryton.The parish church of St. Giles was rebuilt in 1862, it contains a large marble monument to Thomas Southcott of Dulshayes that was erected in 1735 and the tower has some interesting
gargoyles . Kilmington also has a cricket ground.There is a beautiful nature side to this beautiful village. It has foot paths and a lovely little stream running right through it. The foot paths are also in the wood. While walking in the wood stop to admire the stunning flowers and ancient trees the fantastic chirping birds and the beautiful animals roaming round like a roe deer.There are ancient to new houses that are an absolutely fascinating just to stare at them. There is also a historical side to this terrific village as there is a road that is built by the Romans surprisingly it is called Roman Road !! It was here 2000 years ago and will still be hear 2000 years later. Also the bubbly little village is near Axminster a loved little town with Tescos to Trinity House!
