Adlinda (crater)

Adlinda is the third-largest multiring structure (impact crater) on Jupiter's moon Callisto, measuring ~ 1000 km in diameter.cite journal| last=Greeley| first=R.| coauthors=Klemaszewski, J.E.;Wagner L.; et.al.| title=Galileo views of the geology of Callisto|journal=Planetary and Space Science| year=2000| volume=48| pages=829–853| doi=10.1016/S0032-0633(00)00050-7] It is situated in in the southern hemisphere of Callisto. The name is taken from Inuit mythology.

Relatively young large Lofn impact crater is superposed on Adlinda. The bright deposits from this crater cover about 30% of the surface of Adlinda preventing detailed study of it. Lofn is an example of flat floored impact craters.
