Midland Railway roundhouse in Barrow Hill, near Staveley andChesterfield ,Derbyshire (gbmapping|SK435747).Overview
Operational from
1870 to 9th February1991 . After becoming alisted building and following extensive renovation, the entire engine roundhouse, depot, yard, sidings & associated railway lines were all re-opened between 1989 & 1998 10 years later & are now home to many preserved British railway locomotives.Last movements onto/off shed.
58016 came on shed at 11:0058027 came on shed at 11:30 and coupled up to 58016Both class 58 locos left for Worksop at 11:4020197 & 20073 arrived on shed at 12:00Both class 20 locos left for Worksop at 12:10 driven by driver Bob Hill.
Staveley Roundhouse was built to a standard Midland square shed design in
