Touya Shun

Touya Shun is a fictional character in the Super Robot Wars series. He has appeared as a playable character in Super Robot Wars Judgement, and is joined by fellow sub-pilots Katia Grineal, Festenia Muse and Melua Melna Meia.

Personality And Traits

Touya Shun is an ordinary 17 year-old Japanese high-school student. He attends the same school with Kaname Chidori from Full Metal Panic and Kouji Kabuto of Mazinkaiser. Touya has a straight sense of justice, but is cowardly and withdrawn, and not the type to act on chance alone.

History

Touya Shun's father is El-Selda Shun, a Fury who held the rank of "Fury Knight". Touya's unnamed mother was an Earthling, and he spent his early childhood among the Fury, while being a close friend with the Fury Princess, Shana-Mia Eterna Fura. When his mother died, Touya was sent to live on Earth, not knowing about his heritage. Fate would have it when a machine suddenly crashes into the schoolyard, during a normal school day, bringing along Katia Grineal, Festenia Muse, and Melua Melna Meia. The situation would call for Touya to pilot the mech, when Dr. Hell's machinations began to attack the school grounds, and although hesistant, he would be forced to man the machine.

Because he was part-Fury, Touya was quickly able to adapt to the machine, as it was made with Fury technology. After witnessing the harsh realities of war, his reluctance and unreliability to pilot began to fade, giving him the will to fight on his own accord, rather than on someone else's behalf, coupled along with support from his newfound friends and allies. Touya eventually rediscovers his Fury history during his battles against Fury Knight Al-Van Lunks, and stops Gu-Landon Goetz's plans to rid the Earth of humanity, while reacquainting with Shana-Mia after years of absence.

Notes

If Touya is selected by the player to pilot a super robot, he would receive a different set of Spirit Commands and pilot skills than he would if he is selected to pilot a real robot.
