Elizabeth Lohner

Elizabeth Lohner, a native of Traunstein, Bavaria was a member of a family of anti-Nazi dissenters; at least one of whom, her brother-in-law, was sent to the Dachau concentration camp as punishment for his activities. Her background was brought to light in the 17 April 2005 edition of "The Times" shortly after Joseph Ratzinger's election as Pontiff following the death of Pope John Paul II.
