"Anemone trifolia" is a perennial herbaceous plant of the genus "Anemone" (Ranunculaceae). It is very similar to "A. nemorosa" and lives almost in the same areas [ [http://herbier.univ-lyon1.fr/anemone-trifolia.html Anemone trifolia ] ] , mainly hardwoods, beechwoods and hedges, differing from this species in the color of its anthers, which are white, in contrast to "A. nemorosa" 's being yellow.

Description

The plant has stems that stand at 10 to 30 cm high and bear single, white flowers that are two cm in diameter, and bear six elliptical tepals, and, as in most members of its genus, it's leaves are divided into three lanceolate segments and form groups of single whorls of three leaves per stem. The rhizome, found directly below surface is whitish, and tends to form dense groups of individuals.
