Garnatálg is a traditional
meat specialty of theFaroe Islands , specifically the town ofTrøllanes located in the north of the island ofKalsoy .Made with
offal such asintestine , covered in a layer offat and usually served in slices, garnatálg has similarities (but is not identical by any means) to other globalorgan meat dishes such ashaggis (Scotland ),kepeninė (Lithuania ) and, closer to home,slátur (Iceland ).
