Eber Landau (
November 8 ,1878 -October 30 ,1959 ) was a Latvian physician fromRēzekne . In 1902 he graduated from theUniversity of Tartu , and afterwards continued his studies ofanatomy andhistology at the Histology Laboratory inMunich , and inSt. Petersburg underPeter Lesgaft (1837-1909). Between 1906-1912 he was an assistantprosector at the University of Tartu, and later worked at the Anatomy Institute inBerne .In 1923 Landau founded the Department of Histology and
Embryology atKaunas University , and was head of the department until 1932. From 1932-1950 he was a professor at theUniversity of Lausanne .Partial Bibliography
