Joseph Casimiere Rutgens (born January 26, 1939 in Cedar Point, Illinois) is a former American football defensive tackle in the National Football League for the Washington Redskins. He went to two Pro Bowls during his nine year career. He played college football at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and was drafted in the first round of the 1961 NFL Draft. Rutgens was also drafted in the first round of the 1961 AFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders.
