"99" is a single by Fightstar, from their album "One Day Son, This Will Be All Yours". Kerrang! Radio premiered this song on 4 April, 2007 announcing it would be download-only and would be available online in time.

The band have put up a microsite as of 11 May at [http://www.fightstar99.com/ fightstar99.com] where you can sign up and download the single and accompanying video for free.

Some fans refer to the song as "99 (You And I)", due to a previously announced album track in Kerrang! Magazine then-titled "You And I", and the chorus refrain of "99" which holds the same lyrics. The tracklist of "One Day Son, This Will Be All Yours" however shows "99" and "You And I" to be different tracks.

This track is titled "99" due to Charlie dropping his laptop down the stairs and only being able to use the '9' key after demoing the song.Fact|date=October 2007

Video

The video of "99" is Fightstar playing on a beach bare-footed in Los Angeles (where the band were at the same time recording their second album.) The video was released in May 2007, and an edited version was released a little while after, featuring meteorites and special effects in the sky which were done by Alex Westaway.
