The traditional preparation of this dish is quite elaborate and involves the use of spicymasala ,toor dal (a form of lentil) andvegetables . Spices likenutmeg andasafoetida ,curry leaves andtamarind pulp used in its preparation contribute to the unique flavour and taste of this dish.
