Elephant and Castle Pub and Restaurant

Elephant and Castle Pub and Restaurant

Elephant and Castle Pub and Restaurant (also called "E&C") is a North American restaurant chain based in Vancouver, British Columbia and founded in 1977. The restaurant name was derived from the Elephant & Castle region in south London, England and the pub with the same name in that location. The E&C serves American and British favorite food and drinks and are commonly known for their slogan, "Bang On!" In 2007, all of the outstanding shares of Elephant & Castle Group, Inc. were purchased by Repechage Restaurant Group Ltd.; a Canadian corporation based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Repechage Restaurant Group Ltd. (RRG) is controlled and headed by David L. Dobbin of St. John's, Newfoundland. Included with those shares were E&C's 20 locations.
