DDLC, as it is often referred to, is one of only a few clubs in the SSFL which aren't based in Seoul or the Greater Seoul metropolitan area. Daejeon de la Cuba's home pitch is Namseon Park, located near the Dunsan area of Daejeon. The club is sponsored by local sports bar, The Brickhouse Bar, and is has been part of the SSFL since early 2004. The team boasts players from over ten different countries, including England, New Zealand, Canada, United Arab Emirates, and the United States.
In the fall of 2007, Daejeon captured its first ever league championship by finishing the season with a draw against fellow title contender, Seoul United. The season marks the first time any team outside of Seoul have finished at the top of the standings in the history of the SSFL.
