Lun (Croatia)

[http://www.lun.hr Lun] is the northernmost village on the island of Pag. Lun is in Lika-Senj County, Croatia.Lun is also one of three world unique locations with bigest concentration of wild olive tree or in Latin "Olea oleaster". To preserve this biblical landscape and olive trees older than 2000 years Fact|date=May 2008, on 23 ha with about 1500 trees in 1963. is pronounced botanical reserve.

Getting There

Lun is accessible from Novalja by automobile via the main road or from Rab via the Lun-Rab Passenger Ferry.Main village of Lun is situated about half a mile up the hill from the coast. It's port area is named Tovarnele.

Predominant occupation of its inhabitants in the summer months is keeping bed and breakfast's and restaurants for seasonal tourists. Additional family support is provided by fishing, farming sheep's, grapes and olives.
