He was selected to five Pro Bowls. Norton played college football at Southern Methodist University and was drafted in the seventh round of the 1954 NFL Draft. He graduated from Texas High School in Texarkana, Texas and was inducted into the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame in 2007.[1]
