pub and hotel in theGreat Langdale valley in the centre of the EnglishLake District . Originally a farm and inn, in the early 20th century it was sold to the historian ProfessorG.M. Trevelyan who donated it to the National Trust.It is named after the nearby waterfall, Dungeon Ghyll Force. The hotel and the Hikers Bar have a long association withclimbing and many famous climbers have stayed at the hotel or drank in the bar. In climbing circles it is known as the ODG.External links
