Jeffrey William Robinson (born February 20, 1970 in city-state|Kennewick|Washington) is an American football long snapper for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the fourth round of the 1993 NFL Draft. He played college football at Idaho.

Robinson has also played for the St. Louis Rams and Dallas Cowboys. He earned a Super Bowl ring with the Rams in Super Bowl XXXIV.

Early years

Robinson attended Lakeland High School in Rathdrum, Idaho and was a letterman in football, basketball, and baseball. In football, he was a three-time All-Greater Spokane League selection as a tight end and as a linebacker. Jeff Robinson graduated from Ferris High School in 1988.

Professional career

He has played in the NFL for thirteen seasons (1993-2007) as a defensive end, tight end and long snapper. He played his college football at the University of Idaho, where he played on the defensive line. Robinson was drafted as a defensive end with the 98th selection (4th round) of the 1993 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos. He played for the Broncos for four seasons, and signed with the St. Louis Rams in 1997. In 1998, the Rams converted him to tight end after he showed ability at the position while working with the scout team.Meehan, Jim. Accessed March 23, 2008.] He remained at tight end through the rest of his tenure with the Rams and the Dallas Cowboys. Robinson came out of retirement in December 2007 to be the long snapper for the Seattle Seahawks. He went back to retirement after the 2007 season but after Tyler Schmitt was placed on injured reserve the Seattle Seahawks contacted him again and came out of retirement to long snap for the Seahawks.
