Australian hard rock bandAC/DC . It is the sixth track of their Australian album "Let There Be Rock", released in March1977 (see1977 in music ), and was written byAngus Young ,Malcolm Young , andBon Scott . The title is a play on theGeorge Gershwin composition, "Rhapsody in Blue ". It is one of few slow-paced songs in AC/DC's catalogue, and displays a heavy blues influence.Atlantic Records removed the racy "Crabsody In Blue" from "Let There Be Rock"'s US version, released in June1977 (see1977 in music ). It was replaced with a shortened version of "Problem Child" from AC/DC's "Dirty Deeds Done Cheap", released in September1976 (see1976 in music ). "Crabsody In Blue" has not been officially released in the US, but does exist on some bootlegs. The initial vinyl version of "Let There Be Rock" did contain "Crabsody In Blue" in the UK and elsewhere but has been replaced by "Problem Child" on later CD releases. The song is about crab lice ("Phthirus pubis"), or pubic lice, more commonly known as crabs, and details the misery suffered by the singer after he contracts them.
