George Kennie

George Kennie

George Kennie was a first class cricketer who played one match for Yorkshire County Cricket Club in the Roses Match against Lancashire at Old Trafford in 1927. He also appeared for Yorkshire Second XI from 1925 to 1927.

A right handed middle order batsman, he was out for a duck, LBW to Dick Tyldesley in Yorkshire's first innings and scored 6 in the second before being bowled by a rampant Ted McDonald who took 11 in the match and bowled Lancashire to a comfortable 8 wicket victory.

He was born on May 17, 1904 in Bradford and died on April 11, 1994 in Poole, Dorset aged 89.
