The Old Towne Preservation Association (or OTPA) in Orange, California, is a public benefit non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the Old Towne Orange area, a one-square-mile area centered around Orange Plaza. Old Towne Orange is largest National Register District in California. The organization has influence over development, construction, and renovation in the Old Towne area.
History
Dale H. Rahn founded the OTPA in 1986, as an organization to "preserve, protect, and enhance Old Towne." In 1988, the Association helped push forward city design standards for Old Towne, which were adopted in 1995. The OTPA also consider as one of their accomplishments the adoption of Old Towne Orange as a National Registry historic district in 1997.
