The Mineola Twins

The Mineola Twins

'The Mineola Twins' is a play by Paula Vogel.

The play opened on February 18, 1999 and closed on May 30, 1999 at the Laura Pels Theatre in a Roundabout Theatre production. Directed by Joe Mantello, the cast included Swoosie Kurtz and Mo Gaffney. The play was first produced by the Perseverance Theatre, Juneau, Alaska, during the 1996-97 season, and then at the Trinity Repertory Company, Providence, Rhode Island, (1996-97), directed by Molly Smith (former artistic director of Perseverance).

The play shows women's experience over 30 years, as seen through the life of identical twins, Myra and Myrna, and played by one actress. Each twin represents the various sides of women, usually to extreme and comic effect.
