George Harrison (Yorkshire cricketer)

George Puckrin Harrison (February 11, 1862 — September 14, 1940) was a first class cricketer who played 61 first class matches for Yorkshire County Cricket Club between 1883 and 1892. He also appeared in first class cricket for the Players (1883), T Emmett's XI (1883), Lord Sheffield's XI (1884), an England XI (1884) and L Hall's Yorkshire XI (1891).

A right arm fast medium bowler, he took 249 wickets at just 15.7 with a best of 7 for 43 against Lancashire CCC in a Roses Match. He took 5 wickets in an innings 14 times and 10 wickets in a match on 3 occasions.against Surrey CCC, Kent CCC and the MCC.

He was a right handed tail ender, scoring 484 runs at 6.72 with a top score of 28 against Lancashire.
