Cast

  • Chris Peterson as Tom Cruise, a veteran zombie hunter and according to Father Lancelot, the greatest axe battler the world has ever seen.
  • Liam Harty as Frank Hellicopter, Tom Cruise's inexperienced zombie hunting partner. It is revealed by Father Lancelot that he is the Chosen One, the only one able to kill the Master Zombie.
  • Will Collins as Father Lancelot, the foremost authority on zombies and how to kill them. He always appears dressed as a priest and is a masterful player of the flute.
  • Bob Burtch as Glass Joe, a shirtless man of the woods.
  • Justin Haacke as Lance Vance Dance, a man only able to say a few words before his untimely demise.

Music

The original music used in the film was in the form of midi files taken from NES games such as Contra, Final Fantasy, and Dragon Warrior, among others. The filmmakers created an all new original score for the remastered version of the film.

Production

The film's screenplay was co-written by Peterson and Harty in a matter of days. The character of Tom Cruise was originally named José Canseco, but the writers decided against using that name upon learning that name was shared by a Major League Baseball player also named José Canseco. Frank Hellicopter's last name was originally Nails, but was later changed to Hellicopter because it sounded scarier.

A Burning Gnome Productions, while never actually incorporated, operated under a DBA for the production of The Death of Seasons. According to the film's website, the budget for the entire film was $97. The film was shot entirely in sepia tones on MiniDV, using borrowed consumer grade equipment.

DVD

The film saw a limited release on DVD in 2005. Consisting of a single disc, the DVD included bonus features such as deleted scenes and the theatrical trailer for the film. The remastered version has not been released on DVD as of 2010.
