Singapore Day is a cultural cum cuisine-based event aimed at attracting the Overseas
Singapore an community residing inNew York City and other neighbouring cities and states such asWashington, D.C. ,New Jersey andPennsylvania . It was held on21 April 2007 , it attracted an unexpectedly high response, and had to move its venue fromBryant Park to theWollman Rink inCentral Park . Deputy Prime MinisterWong Kan Seng was in New York for the event.
